cream-gold-wall-art-ridged-plaster-canvas
Cream and Gold Wall Art – Oversized Ridged Plaster Textured Look Canvas for Bedroom and Dining Room

Horizontal ridges are combed across wet plaster in short runs and stacked into a loose grid, so no two rows quite line up. Gold leaf is pressed into the grooves in broken dashes, heavier towards the centre. The border is left ragged where the plaster was pulled back, which is the detail that stops the grid reading as mechanical.

This is the quietest piece in the range and probably the most useful. It is almost colourless — bone, greige and just enough gold to catch the light — so it does the job a large piece of art has to do in a neutral room without introducing a colour you then have to decorate around.

It suits rooms that are already finished: oak, linen, lime plaster, nothing competing for attention. We have photographed it in a bedroom, a dining room, an entryway, a home office and a kitchen, and leaned in close so you can see the gold sitting down in the grooves.

A note on the finish, so there are no surprises. The standard canvas is a printed reproduction with a sculpted, textured look — the surface itself is smooth. If you want texture you can actually feel, choose Hand Painted Textured Original on this page and an artist builds the piece by hand in oil on linen, with real raised paint. Hand Embellished sits between the two: real oil worked over the print by hand, so the brushwork stands slightly proud of the surface.

Being square, it centres cleanly above a sofa, a bed, a console or a mantel where a wide piece would overhang the furniture beneath it.

Product Features:

Museum-grade cotton canvas, printed with fade-resistant pigment ink

Stretched over a 1.5″ solid wood frame, arrives ready to hang with hardware fitted

Four square sizes: 24″ x 24″, 32″ x 32″, 40″ x 40″ and 50″ x 50″

Shown in the optional floating frame, available as an upgrade on this page

Made to order — nothing sits folded in a warehouse

Optional hand-embellished or fully hand-painted finishes for real, raised texture

Free shipping, 30-day money-back guarantee and a 10-year colour guarantee
