A tree worked entirely in raised plaster — the trunk twisting up out of the canvas, branches sweeping wide, and every single leaf built up individually with a knife so it stands proud of the surface and casts its own small shadow.

There is almost no colour in it. Ivory, sand and a little pale gold, and that is the whole palette. What carries the piece is relief, which is why it changes completely depending on where the light comes from.

Each canvas is painted after you order it. Expect 4 to 8 days in the studio, then 5 to 7 days in transit. Shipping is free; import duties and taxes are not included and are payable on delivery. You receive photographs every day or two while the piece develops. Every canvas is inspected and signed before it ships. Because your piece is painted to order it cannot be returned for change of mind — but if it arrives damaged, or is not the artwork you were shown, we repaint it or refund you in full. Sizes above 60 × 40 inches are painted on a canvas larger than we can stretch and box safely, so those ship rolled in a protective tube.
