Terracotta Wall Art – Oversized Rust and Gold Sun Disc Textured Look Canvas for Living Room

A clay-red disc filling most of the canvas, combed out from the centre in fine radiating lines so it reads as both a sun and a raked earth floor. The rim is broken gold leaf, heaviest at the top left where light would hit it, and the ground around it is thick cream and rust plaster laid on with a blade.

It is the warmest piece in the collection. Against a white wall it looks Mediterranean; against a clay or caramel wall it almost disappears into the room and reads as architecture.

A note on the finish, so there are no surprises. The standard canvas is a printed reproduction with a sculpted, textured look — the surface itself is smooth. If you want texture you can actually feel, choose Hand Painted Textured Original on this page and an artist builds the piece by hand in oil on linen, with real raised paint. Hand Embellished sits between the two: real oil worked over the print by hand, so the brushwork stands slightly proud of the surface.

Being square, it centres cleanly above a sofa, a console, a mantel or a bed where a wide piece would overhang the furniture beneath it.
