Beige and Gold Flower Wall Art – Oversized Textured Look Canvas with Black Accents for Living Room

One bloom, opened right across the canvas. The petals are laid in broad ivory and warm beige strokes with gold running along every fold, and a scattering of gold at the centre where the stamens sit. Behind them the ground drops into deep charcoal, which is what makes the pale petals look lit rather than flat.

This is the warm end of neutral — sand, bone, oatmeal, bronze — rather than the cool greys most large art defaults to. It belongs with travertine, oak, brass, leather and linen, and it is the rare piece that holds its own in a moody brown room without making it heavier.

A note on the finish, so there are no surprises. The standard canvas is a printed reproduction with a sculpted, textured look — the surface itself is smooth. If you want texture you can actually feel, choose Hand Painted Original on this page and an artist builds the piece by hand in oil on linen, with real raised paint. Hand Embellished sits between the two: real oil worked over the print by hand, so the brushwork stands slightly proud of the surface.

At twice as wide as it is tall, it follows the horizontal line of whatever sits beneath it instead of fighting it — above a sofa, over a bed, along a hallway or behind a dining table. We have photographed it in a travertine living room, a moody brown bedroom, a dining room and a cocktail lounge.
