Hydrangea Wall Art – Oversized Blue and Cream Textured Look Canvas with Gold Leaf for Living Room

Heads of hydrangea crowd the whole canvas — powder blue on one side, cream and bone through the middle, each floret built up petal by petal so the blooms sit proud of the surface. Sage and pewter leaves fall behind them, and fine gold runs along the leaf edges and between the petals, catching the light without ever tipping into glitter.

Hydrangeas are the rare flower that reads as both classic and current, which is why this piece is not fussy about the room it lands in. We have photographed it in an English country cottage, a modern barn house, a Parisian apartment and a moody navy library — pink walls, white walls, panelled walls, and it holds in all four. The blue gives a neutral room somewhere to go, and the cream keeps it from ever feeling cold.

A note on the finish, so there are no surprises. The standard canvas is a printed reproduction with a sculpted, textured look — the surface itself is smooth. If you want texture you can actually feel, choose Hand Painted Textured Original on this page and an artist builds the piece by hand in oil on linen, with real raised paint. Hand Embellished sits between the two: real oil worked over the print by hand, so the brushwork stands slightly proud of the surface.

Being square, it centres cleanly above a sofa, a bed, a console or a mantel where a wide piece would overhang the furniture beneath it.
