Black and Gold Flower Wall Art – Oversized Dramatic Bloom Textured Look Canvas for Living Room

One enormous bloom, opened almost flat, fills the canvas against a charcoal ground flecked with gold. The petals alternate between gold leaf and chalky ivory and curl at the tips, each one built up thickly so the flower genuinely sits off the surface rather than being drawn on it.

Most floral canvases are soft — blush, cream, a little sage. This is the opposite: a flower used as a piece of drama. It belongs on a dark wall, over a console in a formal dining room, or anywhere a room needs one object doing all the talking.

We photographed it in a living room, an entryway, a dining room, a kitchen and a bathroom — then in bedrooms painted warm greige, deep emerald, blush rose, midnight navy and chocolate mocha. The close-up shows the gold on the petal edges.

A note on the finish, so there are no surprises. The standard canvas is a printed reproduction with a sculpted, textured look — the surface itself is smooth. If you want texture you can actually feel, choose Hand Painted Textured Original on this page and an artist builds the piece by hand in oil on linen, with real raised paint. Hand Embellished sits between the two: real oil worked over the print by hand, so the brushwork stands slightly proud of the surface.

It is a landscape piece, which is the shape that actually works above a sofa, a bed or a long console — wide enough to hold the wall without overhanging the furniture beneath it.
