Chinoiserie Landscape Wall Art – Oversized Blue, White and Gold Panoramic Bird and Peony Canvas for Living Room

A panoramic chinoiserie scene painted in porcelain blue on warm ivory: long-tailed birds in flight between flowering branches, full peonies along the foreground, and a quiet line of pagodas and misty mountains in the distance. A fine Greek-key border and touches of gold frame it like an antique wallpaper panel.

Blue-and-white chinoiserie never really goes out of style; it just moves from room to room. This one carries the look of a hand-painted silk wall covering without committing a whole wall to it — and it pairs naturally with ginger jars, cane, brass and crisp white upholstery.

A note on the finish, so there are no surprises. The standard canvas is a printed reproduction with a sculpted, textured look — the surface itself is smooth. If you want texture you can actually feel, choose Hand Painted Original on this page and an artist builds the piece by hand in oil on linen, with real raised paint. Hand Embellished sits between the two: real oil worked over the print by hand, so the brushwork stands slightly proud of the surface.

At twice as wide as it is tall, it follows the horizontal line of whatever sits beneath it instead of fighting it — above a sofa, a sideboard, a bed or along a hallway. We have photographed it in a grandmillennial living room, a blue grasscloth dining room, an ivory bedroom and a classic entrance hall.
