Red Poppy Wall Art – Oversized Poppy Meadow Gold Leaf Textured Look Canvas for Dining Room

A meadow of poppies in deep crimson and coral, the petals worked in heavy paint so the red folds over on itself, with seed heads and dry grasses picked out in gold between the stems. The ground behind is a warm cream, flecked with gold where the light would fall.

Red is the colour most people want and almost nobody buys, because at this scale it usually shouts. This one does not: the cream and the gold carry most of the canvas and the red is concentrated in the lower two thirds, so it warms a room instead of dominating it.

A note on the finish, so there are no surprises. The standard canvas is a printed reproduction with a sculpted, textured look — the surface itself is smooth. If you want texture you can actually feel, choose Hand Painted Textured Original on this page and an artist builds the piece by hand in oil on linen, with real raised paint. Hand Embellished sits between the two: real oil worked over the print by hand, so the brushwork stands slightly proud of the surface.

Being square, it centres cleanly above a bed, a sofa, a console or a mantel where a wide piece would overhang the furniture beneath it.
